Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC Online Seminar

The updated Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC Online Seminar provides an overview of the legal and ethical issues that affect both engineers and geoscientists in BC.

This online seminar allows individuals to fulfill the law and ethics requirement for registration anywhere and at any time. It is composed of 11 modules with a combination of video interviews, concise reading, case studies, knowledge tests, and activities, providing an engaging and accessible learning platform.

Professional Practice Examination

Before being granted registration as a professional registrant, applicants must pass the Professional Practice Examination. The exam tests the applicant’s knowledge of Canadian professional practice, law, and ethics.

Academic Examinations

Academic examinations may be assigned by Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia to demonstrate knowledge of the individual’s discipline or to supplement academic qualifications. Examinations are assigned by Engineers and Geoscientists BC after a detailed assessment of the individual’s academics has been completed. Syllabi and additional study materials are available to prepare for scheduled examinations.
