AR: Ensure Your Information is Updated
Annual Reporting (AR) ensures Engineers and Geoscientists BC has updated registrant contact information so registrants receive valuable regulatory information and public transparency is upheld.

As per Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s Bylaws, written notice for important regulatory information and updates is provided to registrants via their email address on file.

In doing their AR, registrants must provide an updated email address that is accessible only to them and checked frequently. Registrants are also required to update their information within 30 days of any changes.

Registrants often only provide their corporate email address as a primary contact method. This can be problematic if they fail to immediately update this information when they leave their employer.

Registrants who use their corporate email as the primary contact are encouraged to also provide a secondary email address. Engineers and Geoscientists BC will attempt to contact registrants at their alternative email address if there is a problem with the preferred email address.

Declare Your Industry

AR also requires registrants to provide their self-declared industry and area(s) of practice. This information is made public in the registrant directory. The registrant directory contains registrants’ practicing status, area of practice, and business contact information, and provides transparency and accessibility to the public. Registrants have a choice of which business contact information to make public.

Registrants’ declared industry and area of practice will also be reviewed during an individual compliance audit or practice review.

Due June 30

The AR process takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and is due on June 30.

Registrants can visit the AR or the CE Program webpages to learn more about these programs and access resources including videos, templates, and guides.
