Discipline Notice: Anthony Zeberoff, P.Eng.
In 2021, Mr. Zeberoff provided engineering services in relation to wastewater sewerage systems for two different projects located in Nelson and Boswell, BC (the Projects). Mr. Zeberoff authenticated deficient documentation for the Projects that were neither prepared by him nor someone under his direct supervision. Mr. Zeberoff demonstrated a lack of understanding of adequate sewerage system design when acting as the authorized person pursuant to the Sewerage System Regulations for the Projects.
In the Consent Order, Mr. Zeberoff admitted that he demonstrated unprofessional conduct related to the Nelson Project and Boswell Project, and that he acted contrary to the Bylaws of Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Mr. Zeberoff agreed that, among other things, he failed to:
- design the Nelson Project in a manner consistent with the Sewerage System Standard Practice Manual, Version 3;
- create or maintain adequate documentation regarding the design and installation for the Projects; and
- provide adequate direct supervision in regard to the design of the sewerage systems for the Projects.
As outlined in the Consent Order, Mr. Zeberoff is restricted from practicing in the area of wastewater sewerage systems (Practice Restriction). Should Mr. Zeberoff wish to lift or modify the Practice Restriction, he must successfully complete an educational program as set out in the Order. If Mr. Zeberoff successfully lifts the Practice Restriction, he must undergo a peer review of all engineering work in the area of wastewater sewerage systems for a minimum period of 6 months.
During the suspension period, Mr. Zeberoff must complete the Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC Online Seminar and the Authentication of Documents webinar. Mr. Zeberoff paid $5,000 toward the legal costs of Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
