Organizational Climate Change Strategy Survey Open
Engineers and Geoscientists BC is developing an Organizational Climate Change Strategy (OCCS) that builds on its Climate Change Action Plan. During this process, we’re asking for registrants’ feedback through a survey. We welcome your support, concerns, or suggestions.

The OCCS will outline new programs and initiatives that Engineers and Geoscientists BC will be implementing to advance climate action through its operations and regulatory role. The organization hopes to lead by example and better support registrants in integrating climate change and sustainability considerations into professional practice.

To gather broad input on a number of proposed OCCS initiatives with a strong external focus, Engineers and Geoscientists BC has created an Intentions Paper and survey. Registrants are asked to read the Intentions Paper before answering the survey.

Responses will be used to inform climate actions to be included in the OCCS and summarized in a “What We Heard” report.

The survey includes questions on the following initiatives:

  • Climate Change Information Portal redesign
  • Sustainability-related Continuing Education
  • New opt-in email subscription for registrants
  • Voluntary Responsible Practice Program for registrant firms

The survey should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. All responses are voluntary and will remain anonymous. The survey will be open until Thursday, April 17, 11:59 PM, PDT.
