Purpose
The Engineers and Geoscientists BC Foundation was chartered in 1994 to fund, facilitate, promote, and carry out activities and programs for the promotion of education in engineering and geoscience through scholarships and bursaries. The Foundation is responsible for collecting, managing, and investing contributions, donations, and bequests from registrants and other external donor and partners to fund the granting of awards, scholarships, and bursaries.
The Foundation’s directors established the Scholarship Adjudication Committee to adjudicate scholarship applications received by the Foundation, using the criteria set out by the directors. Adjudicators assess students’ extracurricular activities, volunteer involvement, advancement of the professions, resumes, and letters of reference.
