Purpose
The Registration Interview Panel play a vital role in the application process of prospective engineering and geoscience registrants.
Each Interviewer is a highly valued volunteer who helps to maintain the integrity of the applicationprocess by conducting interviews and providing honest and constructive feedback regarding the applicant's qualifications and readiness for professional practice.
The recommendations of the Registration Interview Panel are provided to the Credentials Committee, an Engineers and Geoscientists BC statutory committee, for approval.
Duties and Expectations
- Interviews, including pre- and post-discussion time, take approximately 2 hours.
- An interviewer may be asked to do a maximum of 3–4 interviews per year.
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently an Engineers and Geoscientists BC professional registrant;
- Have at least three years as a registered professional (in any jurisdiction) in your stated area of practice;
- Registrants employed in senior roles are preferred.
Engineers and Geoscientists BC is looking to recruit interviewers in all disciplines (engineering and geoscience). However, we urgently require interviewers in the following:
- Aerospace
- Agriculture
- Biomedical
- Building Science / Energy
- Civil
- Computer
- Electrical
- Environmental
- Marine
- Mechanical (HVAC)
- Mechatronics
- Mining
- Naval Architecture
- Petroleum
- Software
- Structural
Measures of Success
The successful volunteer will:- Conduct professional interviews, and
- Provide honest and constructive feedback regarding the applicants’ qualifications.
