Call for Presenters
Engineers and Geoscientists BC accepts proposals on an ongoing basis from experts who would like to contribute to the professions of engineering or geoscience.
Continuing Education (CE) is learning that contributes to the maintenance of competency in registrants’ practices and helps them fulfill their present and future roles more effectively.
The CE Program defines four areas of learning in which Professional Registrants should maintain competency:
- Ethical Learning: Activities related to advancing a registrant’s knowledge of how to act ethically and meet the ethical obligations pursuant to the Act, regulations, Bylaws, and the Code of Ethics.
- Regulatory Learning: Activities related to advancing a registrant’s knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including the Act, regulations, Bylaws, Code of Ethics, codes, standards, policies, and requirements in relevant legislation.
- Technical Learning: Activities related to advancing a registrant’s technical and professional knowledge and skills within their area(s) of practice, including any anticipated future changes to the area(s) of practice.
- Communications and Leadership Learning: Activities related to advancing a registrant’s non-technical knowledge and skills, including communications and leadership skills.
Content must be related to the four areas of learning to support registrants in maintaining their competency to fulfill their duty to protect the public and the environment with respect to the practices of engineering and geoscience. We are seeking subject matter experts who can provide registrants with relevant educational topics that fit within the requirements of the CE program. Content should be educational in nature, and we do not accept topics that actively sell products or services during their presentations.

Engineers and Geoscientists BC recognizes the importance and value of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the organization and within the professions of engineering and geoscience as part of its regulatory mandate.
We are committed to developing and curating events that are inclusive and accessible. We encourage participation from presenters of all ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, religions, and sexual orientation to voluntarily share any relevant information about their lived experience or background within their application.
